Becoming Community

Inspired by drag performance and the feeling of stepping into a hot spotlight. The piece also looks to the experience of being a captive audience member, investigating the connection between performer and viewer. The community that is built in both physical and digital spaces where said performances take place is integral to this work. Looking to this, the yellow and blue stripe pattern is audience generated to involve the community in the design process.
